The following List of Academic and Not-for-Profit Survey Research Organizations (LANSRO) is provided as a service to the survey research community. The list has been prepared by staff at the Survey Research Laboratory, University of Illinois at Chicago. The criteria used to determine whether an organization should be included in the list are: a) its primary purpose is survey research, b) its availability to do work for outside clients, and c) its conduct of a minimum of five surveys per year. SRL has determined, based on its many years experience in survey research, that organizations with these characteristics are most likely to sponsor and participate in 
significant methodological research and make important contributions to the field. This list does not claim to be a list of all such organizations, and we would appreciate hearing from any other organizations that wish to be included. 

Organizations are listed alphabetically by state. This list (in Adobe PDF format and in Microsoft Word) is updated regularly, and updates are posted to this Web site. Every attempt is made to make sure that the list contains accurate information, but please notify SRL at survey@srl.uic.edu with any corrections or questions.
